Understanding the current state organization means getting insight is what (type) of organization you are looking at. Typical aspects you can look at are:

  • What? – objects of interest, data
  • Why? – objectives, rules
  • How? – processes, activities
  • Who? – departments, positions, roles, ...
  • Where? – countries, cities, offices
  • When? – events and periods.
